U.S. announces 120-athlete roster for Paris Olympics

INDIANAPOLIS – With less than a month until the track and field events begin at the Games of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, USATF has released the list of more than 100 athletes who will compete at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.

USATF teams have dominated the medal count at the past two World Athletics Championships, winning a total of 33 medals, including 12 gold, at the Oregon 22 and 29 medals at last summer’s Budapest Games. American athletes finished atop the medal table at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, too, grabbing 26, seven of them gold.

Four reigning Olympic champions lead the U.S. roster, with two-time shot put gold medalist and world record holder Ryan Crouser heading the men\’s team and 400 hurdles world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone coming off her fifth world record to top the women\’s entrants. Katie Moon is the reigning women’s pole vault champion, and Valarie Allman will compete for her second consecutive gold medal in the women’s discus.

Last year at the World Championships in Budapest, Noah Lyles won the 100 and 200 meters and also helped the U.S. win the 4×100 relay.
