Former Barcelona striker activates his own release clause to enable a transfer to the Premier League

Espanyol issued a formal statement confirming Braithwaite’s decision to activate the provision, thanking him for his professionalism and best wishes for his future aspirations.

Braithwaite has played in various of Europe’s top leagues. He formerly played for Middlesbrough in England, appearing in 40 games and scored nine goals. Braithwaite made his international debut for Denmark in 2013, and has since earned 69 caps and 10 goals. He has competed in big competitions, demonstrating his skills on the international stage.
