The Alabama Men’s Basketball program continues to ascend to the top of the collegiate basketball landscape, earning an exponential growth in national recognition each week.

The media and fans aren’t the only people who see Alabama as a rising powerhouse in college basketball; the coaches who lead the sport also see it.

The Crimson Tide are also scheduled to play some of the other heavyweights of the sport. Alabama will face off against the Houston Cougars in Las Vegas, Nev., on November 26 in their opening game of the Players Era Festival. The Cougars ranked No. 3 in the CBS poll and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament last season.

In addition, Nate Oats added two more No. 1 seeds from last season to add to Alabama’s schedule gauntlet, as the Crimson Tide are set to play Purdue in West Lafayette and North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Entering the 2024-2025 season riding high off of the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance, the return of Mark Sears, Grant Nelson, Jarin Stevenson, and Latrell Wrightsell Jr., plus the additions of five-star Derrion Reid and Rutgers transfer Clifford Omoruyi, the Crimson Tide are hoping to assert themselves as one of the best programs in the country.
