Sidney Crosby has made it clear that he wants to end his illustrious career with the Pittsburgh Penguins, not the Boston Bruins.
In fact, he’s expressed his desire to be a “Penguin for life” alongside his long-time teammates and friends, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang ¹.
This commitment is mutual, as the Penguins’ ownership group, Fenway Sports Group, also wants Crosby to retire in Pittsburgh ¹.
There’s been no indication that Crosby plans to join the Boston Bruins or any other team for that matter. His focus remains on finishing his career with the Penguins, and potentially negotiating an extension with the team ².
Crosby’s loyalty and dedication to the Penguins are truly admirable, and it’s exciting to see him continue to lead the team.
