Sidney Crosby has made it clear that he wants to retire as a Pittsburgh Penguin, not join the Boston Bruins.
In fact, he’s expressed his desire to be a “Penguin for life” alongside his long-time teammates and friends, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang ¹.
The Penguins’ ownership group, Fenway Sports Group, also wants Crosby to retire in Pittsburgh, with executive vice president Dave Beeston stating that it’s “very important” for Crosby to never play in another uniform ¹.
Crosby, Malkin, and Letang have been the foundation of the Penguins for years, and it’s no surprise that they want to finish their careers together.
The trio has been instrumental in the team’s success, including multiple Stanley Cup wins. Crosby’s commitment to the Penguins is a testament to his loyalty and dedication to the organization and the city of Pittsburgh.
So, while Bruins fans might appreciate Crosby’s talent, it seems unlikely that he’ll be donning a Boston jersey anytime soon!
