Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s candidate for president, has promised to legalize recreational marijuana if elected.
Harris recently revealed this in a statement on her X account;
She said: “I will legalize recreational marijuana, break down unjust legal barriers, and create opportunities for all Americans to succeed in this new industry.”
Kamala Harris will compete against former President Donald Trump from the Republican Party in the election taking place today.
She emerged as the Democratic Party’s candidate after President Joe Biden stepped down as the party’s candidate in July and endorsed her.
A range of American celebrities, including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, and several others, have backed Kamala Harris for president.
