After being released by the New York Giants on November 22, who selected him with the sixth overall choice in the 2019 NFL Draft, Jones initially joined Minnesota’s practice squad. Jones can be Minnesota’s backup quarterback or third string quarterback if he is signed to the active roster for the Vikings’ visit.
