According to sources, Enzo Maresca has informed Chelsea that he wants to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and is hoping to reunite with the midfield player.

After Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea last month, Maresca was named the next manager on Monday afternoon. He has a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

There will be a lot of pressure on the Italian coach who led Leicester to the Championship victory the previous year to win a trophy and get Chelsea back into the Champions League.

Maresca wants Dewsbury-Hall reunion

Chelsea, who finished sixth in the previous season, will be active once more this summer as they try to bolster their team.

With Tosin Adarabioyo expected to join on a free transfer from Fulham, the Blues have already finalized their first summer agreement. They are reportedly looking for a goalkeeper, left back, center defender, and striker.

If Conor Gallagher departs the team, Chelsea may need a midfield player. Aston Villa has begun negotiations with the Blues about a potential transfer, while Tottenham is reportedly preparing an offer for the 24-year-old, who is nearing the end of his contract.

Chelsea will probably look for a successor if the England international departs, and according to Sun Sport, Maresca is interested in getting back together with Dewsbury-Hall.

The Leicester player is at the top of Maresca’s list to replace Gallagher, according to the source, and the Foxes are reluctant to let the 25-year-old to depart for less than £40 million.

After netting 12 goals and dishing out 14 assists, Dewsbury-Hall was voted both Leicester’s Player of the Season and a member of the Championship Team.

Brighton expressed interest in the midfield player in January, but he ultimately chose to remain at the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea has also been linked to offers for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, whom rival Arsenal is also after, and Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise, in whom they have a significant interest.
