The Magpies can no longer afford to just throw money at anybody they want; instead, they must consider Financial Fair Play carefully before taking a risk on any venture they undertake prior to the 2024–2025 season.

That will prevent them from signing any players unless Eddie Howe and the Saudi Public Investment Fund are prepared to accept that certain players may have to be loaned or sold in order to make room for new recruits.

Newcastle is not interested in signing Mamardashvili

Naturally, another problem they will have in the upcoming season is that there won’t be any European football to look forward to, which would drastically reduce the pool of available talent.

Newcastle could be in a much better position in a year than they were at the end of the 2023–24 season, therefore in some ways, not having the additional responsibility might actually help them in the Premier League.

Without a doubt, the club suffered from the demanding Champions League campaign they had to endure last season—their first in more than 20 years. Howe and his backroom staff had to deal with a significant number of injuries during the season.

The Magpies continued to fall in the Premier League as the season went on. The last straw came when Manchester United defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup, a result that eliminated Newcastle from Europe completely because they had been ranked higher in the Europa Conference League because to their final Premier League standing.

Keeping all of the foregoing in mind, Relevo has revealed that Newcastle has finally given up on signing Giorgi Mamardashvili of Valencia due to the asking price.

James Trafford of Burnley is reportedly the primary goalkeeping target right now, according to The Northern Echo, and the Clarets will have to consider any offers given their Premier League relegation.
