BMW celebrates M 1000 RR domination at the Isle of Man TT.

It all started with the Superbike TT race on Sunday 2 June. In an exciting race, Hickman, who is riding a MONSTER Energy BMW BMW M 1000 RR by the FHO RACING team, won the 14th TT. Todd tracked Milwaukee BMW Motorrad with Tas Racing M RR in second place. After bad weather repeatedly caused dangerous conditions and numerous delays, the first of two scheduled Superstock TT races took place on Thursday June 6. Todd’s star finally rose when he engaged in a hand-to-hand duel with Hickman and ultimately emerged victorious. Todd celebrated his first victory on the main TT Island, but Hikuman was in the second place in the parade. The second race in superstars cannot be brought out from weather conditions or delays. The main point of Men TT is always an honorable advanced TT. After the four circles, it was Davitod. For his team, BMW Motorrad from Tas Racing, it was the first victory of this special race, the senior TT in 20 years – respectively, the joy was enormous.

The finisher of second place in the senior TT was also enthusiastically received by his Monster Energy BMW Command of the FHO Racing; Australian Brooks provided his first podium in the senior TT after a week of racing before. Teammate Hickman dominated the early stages of the Senior TT but a crash ended his chances of a further victory. Hickman was uninjured. Since 2014, BMW riders have enjoyed success on the Isle of Man with the BMW S 1000 RR and BMW M 1000 RR. The meeting has been held nine times since (the 2020 and 2021 events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and has counted no less than 22 TT victories.

“Wow, what an amazing TT on the Isle of Man!” Of course, we had some expectations beforehand, as BMW riders have been some of the absolute favourites for many years, but they even exceeded them by achieving a one-two finish in all three 1000cc races. Congratulations to Davey Todd, who made his dream come true by winning the Superstock TT and then the prestigious Senior TT, to Peter Hickman, who added to his tally of TT wins in Superbike races, and to Josh Brooks, who made it onto the coveted Senior TT podium…. his first time coming second. Congratulations also to the TAS Racing Team and the FHO BMW Motorrad Racing Team, whose hard work has enabled the BMW Motorrad success story on the Isle of Man to continue with such great results. A huge thank you to the many other BMW riders who brought so many RRs of all generations to the Isle of Man again this year, and who have also been great ambassadors for BMW Motorcycles.

“It doesn’t seem real – my first TT win, and then my Senior TT win. We were always in a good mood, we just wanted to fight to win. “It’s incredible to get the Senior TT win for the team because we knew we had a chance. The last two laps of the Senior TT were the longest of my life after the pit stop. I was in P1 with a big lead and just rode there, did short shifts and looked after the bike. But the Milwaukee BMW Motorrad team at TAS Racing built me an amazing BMW M 1000 RR that is really fun to ride. He never missed a single detail. And then the best pit stop – I have to give everything to the team. Now, I can’t wait for 12 months to come back here. I really liked this TT. It’s going to take some time to sink in. This TT was a dream come true for me.

“For me it’s a pretty mixed record: a Superbike TT win, a Superstock race podium and then a crash at Ginger Hall while leading the Senior TT. Thank you for all the efforts of MONSTER ENERGY BMW and this year’s dedication by the FHO Racing Team. I was a little frustrated by the lack of truck time due to the weather, but the bicycle was wonderful. Well done to Josh who came second in the Senior TT. “I also want to thank everyone who messaged me. I’m a bit hurt but I feel very lucky.”

“To be honest, I didn’t expect to be on the podium after a week of trouble so finishing second feels like a win. It’s surreal to be honest, obviously a lot of people have left but that’s just the way it is at TT. You have to take them when you get them, so I’m excited. I felt like it was my class, it’s the bike I feel the best on. The big bike that I usually ride every weekend at the British Superbike Championship, I feel at home, like it’s my bike and I feel like I can ride it my way. The BMW M 1000 RR performed very well. I went as fast as when I was on the course, and I really felt that my bicycle was working perfectly. I couldn’t be happy. A big thank you to all the people involved at the Monster Energy BMW by the FHO Racing team. Representing with such a result in the big race is Mega. »»
