Hugh Freeze, head coach of Auburn football, is continually refining his formula for success as he enters his third season on the Plains. Although his first year went as smoothly as anyone could have hoped, there were significant staff changes as a result of media hints regarding internal issues. Many anticipated that the 2024 season would see major improvements and more victories because the coaching staff was largely new. For a variety of reasons, there weren’t. But given Freeze’s difficulties from the previous season, the 2025 campaign is even more crucial. This is Year 3, and it’s said that a coach should be with a program for three years before being judged.
