Cooper has begun work as Leicester City’s new manager, following conversations with midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The 25-year-old scored 12 goals and assisted 14 times in the Championship last season, and Cooper wants him to continue with the club, along with midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
He is also considering adding international experience to his defensive line, and has identified a Belgian defender as a potential target.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina is interested in 24-year-old Belgian defender Arthur Theate, who is currently being chased by Leicester City.
The 24-year-old Belgian is now representing his country at the European Championships in Germany and has already earned 15 caps.
The Rennes defender is being pursued by the newly promoted team, which is seeking to avoid relegation in their debut season back in the Premier League.
