Iling-Junior, who is still only 20 years old, was a member of Chelsea’s development system for nine years, from 2011 to 2020, when he left to play for Juventus of Italy.

The versatile left-footer, who can play both forward and wing-back, made his debut for the Old Lady’s first squad in the 2022–2023 campaign. Since then, he has made 45 appearances in all competitions, with two goals and four assists.

Iling-Junior has shown a lot of promise, but according to a TuttoJuve rumor, Juventus is now willing to sell him this summer for just £12.7 million.

Iling-Junior, an England young international who has played 37 times, was referred to as possessing the “full package” in November 2022 by former Chelsea and Tottenham academy coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst.

Isaksson-Hurst, who uses his My Football Coach company to privately teach professional football players, including Iling-Junior, said to Standard Sport in 2022, “Samuel brings the full package to the party, he has got everything.”

Chelsea places a lot of emphasis on his physical attributes. He not only offers strength and power, but also outstanding technique.

“His skill and balance make him resemble a street football player almost.” He almost adds everything to the conversation. He can play in center midfield or as a seven, eleven, or even ten.

Iling-Junior, whose contract with Turin expires in just one year, most definitely matches the type of player Newcastle has signed recently.

The Magpies have primarily concentrated on developing talent, with Eddie Howe recruiting players like Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento, and Sven Botman, despite now having the support of Saudi Arabia and access to vast resources.

Newcastle, however, will have competition for the Islington-born star’s signature. According to a report from TuttoJuve, Manchester United and Bologna are the leading candidates, with Tottenham Hotspur also showing interest as well.
