Although the transfer season does not open officially until July, conversations appear to be taking place between players and teams at the moment, with Newcastle prepared to capitalize on Chelsea’s approach for Michael Olise.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, the Blues are pursuing the Crystal Palace player despite potential interest from other clubs.

Just a year after fending off the Blues, it appears that the Eagles may be resigned to losing one of their greatest players as long as any interested teams meet the player’s release clause, which is thought to be over £60 million.

Newcastle wants Chelsea ace. Noni Madueke

Olise has been quiet on the matter thus far, maybe to avoid adding fuel to the flames.

Although it is far from a given conclusion, the fact that the player came close to the Blues last summer provides them an advantage over any other clubs interested in signing him.

If they are successful in acquiring the player, Noni Madueke’s future becomes uncertain.

Newcastle will aim to lure the player to St. James’ Park, as reported by i Sport.

It’s unclear if Chelsea would sell the 22-year-old, or if the player himself would want to move to the North East giants. However, Olise’s signing would likely result in Madueke receiving fewer minutes on the pitch than he did in 2023/24 (only 1272 in all competitions according to WhoScored).

For the time being, that scenario is tranquil, but once the European Championship is over, we should expect some significant market action.
