Newcastle midfielder spotted in the Middle East, with summer departure likely.

Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden was observed training in the Middle East as he prepares to quit the club this summer.

Hayden joined Newcastle from Arsenal in 2016, and he has 171 appearances and ten goals for the Magpies.

The 29-year-old still has two years left on his contract, but he has not played for the club since 2021 and has been frozen out of the first squad.

Hayden prepares to depart Newcastle.

Hayden spent the season on loan at both Belgian club Standard Liege and Queens Park Rangers, and he will also spend the 2022/2023 season on loan at Norwich.

The midfielder appeared ten times in the Belgian Juppiler Pro League without scoring or assisting, and 17 times in the Championship for QPR without contributing any goals.

Hayden has been preparing hard for the upcoming season in Qatar, as evidenced by his Instagram posts.

Newcastle World reports that the Magpies may terminate Hayden’s contract, resulting in no transfer money for the player.

QPR are thought to be interested, but the source adds that the terms must be acceptable to them if they are to execute a deal.

According to Newcastle World, if a move elsewhere is not arranged, Hayden will practice separately from the first team when pre-season training begins.

The Magpies will have a busy window after selling Yankuba Minteh and Elliott Anderson to meet profit and sustainability standards.

Miguel Almiron is expected to depart St James’ Park and is said to be on his way to the Saudi Pro League, with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq intrigued, while others say that England player Anthony Gordon may join Liverpool.
