Newcastle now thinking of selling a winger to Liverpool for £40m

Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Yankuba Minteh, a winger for Newcastle United.

Minteh, who joined Newcastle from the Danish team Odense in the summer, spent the previous season on loan at Feyenoord, where he made 27 appearances under Arne Slot’s direction in the Eredivisie and produced five assists and ten goals.

Newcastle might have to sell players before the summer transfer window in order to meet the Premier League’s profit and sustainability requirements.

The Telegraph claims that as a result, the Magpies decided that, even though Minteh had a successful season while on loan at Feyenoord last year, they would only reluctantly accept offers of roughly £40 million for him.

Giants of the Premier League Liverpool, as well as teams in Germany and Italy, have expressed interest in hiring the player.

Liverpool’s interest in the player makes sense considering that former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot has taken Jurgen Klopp’s place at Anfield.

The 45-year-old Dutchman is believed to think Minteh has the potential to be one of the best young attackers in Europe. He worked with the Gambian during his successful season in Rotterdam last term.

The youthful winger has shown his greatest qualities under Slot’s tutelage, and he believes that at Liverpool, the player can be productive and assist the club in a variety of ways in addition to providing crucial finishing touches.

The boss of Liverpool is a fan of the Newcastle player.
The new manager of Liverpool will want to bring in players that he believes align with his style of playing. Minteh, a player owned by Newcastle United, appears to fit that description.

Eddie Howe is keen to add depth to Minteh’s primary position on the right side this summer.

Minteh is a young player who is seen to have a bright future, but Newcastle is searching for experience.
