Newcastle United are prepared to listen to bids for key midfield star

Newcastle United are willing to sell Sean Longstaff for at least £20 million, as reported by Football Insider.

The academy graduate is ready to enter the final year of his contract at St. James Park, and the Magpies believe this summer is an opportunity to cash in on him.

The Magpies are considering selling him since it would be classified as pure profit under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Eddie Howe’s team has been struggling financially, and they may have to sell players first to raise finances and complete their transfer business this summer.

Newcastle’s expenditure in recent transfer windows has put them on the wrong side of the PSR, and they must act wisely this summer to avoid the regulations.

Longstaff is about to enter the final year of his contract with the club, and if he does not sign a contract extension, he will be available for free transfer next summer.

Last season, the midfielder participated in 35 matches for the team and produced eight goals, including six goals and two assists.

Despite Newcastle’s plan to transfer him, he is an important member of the squad and has appeared frequently under Howe.

Even if Newcastle needs sales before June 30, which has gained relevance as a result of PSR, Longstaff is unlikely to go before then.

Newcastle United needs to raise revenue through sales.

The Magpies will need all of the money they can raise this summer to do their transfer business.

Previously, the sales of Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak had been proposed, and there was speculation that the Magpies might be compelled to sell one of them.

However, they are not open to such notions and intend to keep two of their top players for a long period.
