The Tank Bowl didn’t disappoint. On Sunday, the Giants (2-8) lost 20-17 in overtime to the awful Carolina Panthers in Germany. This was their fifth loss in a row.
Daniel Jones, as is customary, showed flashes of brilliance in the second half but was ultimately insufficient to secure the victory for his team.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the Giants’ position in the projected order for the 2025 NFL Draft, where they will almost certainly choose a quarterback.
This order will obviously change between now and the end of the regular season.
Daniel Jones showed some promise in the second half, but his performance was still not enough to secure a win for the Giants. As a result, the team is likely to target a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The current draft order, which will change as the season progresses, is as follows:
1. Jaguars 2-8
2. Giants 2-8
3. Titans 2-7
4. Browns 2-7
5. Raiders 2-7
6. Dolphins 2-6
7. Patriots 3-7
8. Saints 3-7
9. Panthers 3-7
10. Jets 3-7
11. Cowboys 3-6
The Jaguars, ahead of the Giants, won’t draft a quarterback due to Trevor Lawrence. Other teams like the Panthers, Saints, Browns, Raiders, and Jets may also consider a QB.
The Giants are expected to release Jones after this season, clearing $19.4 million in cap space.
