An Open Letter from Wide Receiver Jonah Williams
To the Texas Longhorns Fans, the University of Texas, and the NFL Community,
First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Texas Longhorns family for shaping me into the man and athlete I am today. Representing this program has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and your unwavering support has meant the world to me.
It is with a heavy heart that I address my recent suspension by the NFL for two games. I take full responsibility for my actions and recognize the impact of my choices not only on myself but also on my teammates, coaches, and fans who have stood by me every step of the way. While the circumstances surrounding this situation are personal, I am committed to learning and growing from this experience.
The Longhorns community taught me about accountability, resilience, and the importance of playing with integrity both on and off the field. These lessons are a guiding force as I navigate this challenge. I assure you that I will use this time to reflect, refocus, and return stronger—both as a player and as a person.
To my teammates, I regret letting you down and promise to channel my energy into contributing to our shared success as soon as I am eligible to return. To the fans, your passion inspires me every day. I vow to earn back your trust through my actions moving forward.
Thank you for your support during this difficult time. I remain deeply grateful to be part of this incredible community.
Sincerely,
Jonah Williams
