Peter Hickman says he is “lucky” to have avoided serious injury after crashing at the Isle of Man TT.
Hickman lost the lead in the Senior TT, allowing Davey Todd to take advantage and win the race.
The video of Hickman’s crash has gone viral on social media.
He issued an update: “A rather mixed bag of results for myself, with a Superbike TT win, a podium finish in the Superstock race, and a crash at Ginger Hall while leading the Senior.”
“A huge thank you to the FHO Racing BMW team for all their hard work and dedication at this year’s TT.
“Despite the frustration of not having enough track time due to the weather, the motorcycles were fantastic.
“I also like to congratulate Josh Brookes on his fantastic accomplishment in second place and entering the 134 Club.
“Thanks to everyone for your messages and comments, I’m a bit bruised and very lucky.”
Hickman was able to walk away from his tumble and head right to the pub.
He won his 14th TT race this year.
