The team of Sha’Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry will look to earn another medal in the 4×100-meter relay. The men’s relay team, which no longer features Covid-hit Noah Lyles, will try to avoid past mistakes in the event.

Also on the track, Weini Kelati will race the 10,000 meters in her first Olympics, and medals will be up for grabs in the women’s 400 and the men’s 400 hurdles.

Breaking, or breakdancing, makes its Olympic debut today. Team USA’s Sunny Choi is hoping to bag one of the first medals awarded. The men’s competition will be tomorrow.

The U.S. women’s basketball team has to get past Australia to reach the gold medal game. The men’s team did that yesterday, overturning a 17-point deficit to beat Serbia.

The U.S. men’s volleyball team faces Italy for bronze. Host France takes on European Championship-winner Spain in the men’s soccer final.
