Noah Lyles, the 100-meter gold medalist from the 2024 Paris Olympics, is open to racing Miami Dolphins’ star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. However, the only way he is willing to do it is if there are “millions of dollars” included in the equation.

Hill, who is considered the fastest player in the NFL, recently issued a challenge to Lyles over social media. He said he is willing to race Lyles in a 50-yard in response to Lyles’ comments about him

“If he’s serious about it, not just talking on the internet … if you’re serious about it, you’ll see me on track,” said Lyles when asked if he would ever get in a race with Hill.

“Sign the contract and lock in that 50 yard race,” Hill wrote on social media while attaching the clip with Lyles’ comments.

Now, Lyles came back with a response in a recent interview with NBC News.

“I mean, if somebody wants to sponsor the event, and we’re racing for millions of dollars, and it’s on a track, and we’re running 100 meters, then sure, we can race,” Lyles said.

Lyles also added that the race “has to be legit” and that he’s “not here to do gimmicks.”

Lyles is considered one of the world’s biggest track and field stars. In Paris, he became the first American since 2004 to win Olympic gold in 100 meters with a time of 9.79 seconds while also winning a bronze in 200 meters.

Hill competed in track and field in high school and college alongside playing football. He most recently competed in 60 meters at the USA Track & Field Masters, winning the event with a time of 6.70 seconds. His best recorded time in 100 meters is 10.19 seconds.
