Alabama HC Kalen DeBoer gives the leading news however with respect to harmed hostile star

The Alabama Crimson Tide are 2-0 to start the 2024 season, winning considerably without one of their best players.

That would be LT Kadyn Proctor, who has yet to set in for the Tide after a surprise injury during Week 1 warmups.

And with the toughest test of the year on the horizon, his play is going to be needed.

“Kadyn Proctor, he will continue to work on his functional movement and all that kind of stuff, early in the week and keep progressing in a way where I feel we’ll be pretty dang close by the weekend of getting him on the football field,” said DeBoer in his preview presser for Wisconsin. “So, I feel like he’s coming along real, especially at the end of last week, working extremely hard to get back out there.”

In his absence, the Tide have rotated multiple players at LT, including star guard Tyler Booker and OT Elijah Pritchett, who is dealing with an injury of his own:

“Pritchett played in the game as you saw, I think the last six plays or so and came out, good with that,” added DeBoer. “He practiced towards the end of the week, Wednesday, Thursday — a little more limited on Wednesday. Felt ok about him being out there. Felt good about him being out there, and he came in and did a nice job, and the big thing is that he got through healthy and that was a key there.”

The Badgers may be two TD underdogs, but a noon eastern kick in an environment of that nature, and against a college known for producing defensive linemen and linebackers will be far from a walk in the park.
