The 2025 recruiting cycle is still heating up as some of the top high school football players around the country are announcing their respective college decisions.

During the week of June 21-27, 36 players committed to an SEC program, including 30 prospects in the 2025 class and six underclassmen. The group of SEC commits features 11 Top247 prospects, headlined by a five-star edge rusher.

Fourteen SEC schools secured at least one commitment this week. Mississippi State leads the way with seven, followed by Georgia and Kentucky with four each, LSU and Tennessee with three each, then Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas with two each, while Auburn, Missouri and Texas A&M each had one.

With that in mind, scroll down to take a look at the prospects who committed to an SEC program over the past week, starting with the 2025 prospects and concluding with the underclassmen.

Recruiting background: A 5-foot-9, 200-pound running back out of Elba (Ala.) High School, Alvin Henderson flipped his commitment from Penn State to Auburn, giving head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff their 16th pledge of the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Auburn offensive coordinator and running backs coach Derrick Nix was the lead recruiter for the in-state product, while co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Charles Kelly also assisted in the recruitment.

In 14 games as a junior, Henderson averaged a ridiculous 15.7 yards per carry with 3,523 yards and 61 touchdowns on 225 attempts and five receptions for 124 yards and one touchdown to go along with another 119 yards and one score through the air, per MaxPreps. He also accounted for five touchdowns on special teams (three kickoff returns, two punt returns).

Abbreviated scouting report: “A sudden runner that demonstrates the ability to play in both a power or zone scheme, the Alabama native exhibits excellent short area burst and separation quickness at the second level to create space between defenders. Plays with good play strength and physicality, plus shows the ability to consistently play through contact.”
