They seemed untouchable, like nobody would be able to make a game with them, but it was not exactly how they believed. It seemed like the most predictable gold, but it was full of suspense and excitement and to many this could have been prevented.

Team USA scored 27 out of 34 chances, that translated into a 79%, it was not bad, but it is nothing compared to France’s 100% record on free throws. The fact that Clark was not there leaves everyone speculating if it would have been a smoother win.

Team USA’s shooting was not ideal, especially from three-point range. They only hit 2 out of 12 attempts from long distance. With Caitlin Clark on the team the percentage would have been higher and the win would have been easier.

The United States beat France by a score of 66-67 in the Women’s Basketball Olympic Final by one point. This close score made fans and probably even the front office people wonder why they ended up choosing South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley and, ultimately, not choosing Caitlin Clark from the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.

In the third quarter, France had a pretty convincing 10-point lead and Team USA was very worried. As a matter of fact, the whole country was worried, and many believe that if Clark was there this would not have happened.

Imagine if they would have lost

France committed 25 fouls that eventually resulted in free throws that because of Caitlin Clarks high level of play, they would have hit enough shots to seal the win early, maybe no to even have less point than their rival.
